I received an M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Salerno, at Salerno, Italy, in 2006 with the thesis: “An Interactive Approach To Hierarchical Clustering”. In 2010, I received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the same University, with a thesis developed at Institute of Genomics and Bioinformatics, University of California Irvine, Irvine, USA, by the title: “Fast Search in Chemical Databases using Tanimoto Similarity Bounds and Clustering Techniques”. Since 2010, I work on a Bioinformatic project funded by AIRC (Italian Association for Cancer Research) in a collaboration with University of Chieti. My main areas of interest are Bioinformatics, Data Analysis, Pattern Recognition, Artificial Intelligence.
MIDA stands for Modular Interactive Dendrogram Analyzer. It is a modular architecture and software implementation for Matlab, allowing the analysis of hierarchical trees trough user interaction and the development of ad hoc modules. MIDA also features a number of modules written by me and other people. There’s a dedicated page here for MIDA.

Paco e Bianca
Paco e Bianca is a comic strip (in italian) published in the form of a blog. It is realized through a cheap Wacom tablet and some patience. Having a decent number of readers (when updated), some strips were also published on the italian free magazine G.A.Z. The home of Paco e Bianca is at www.pacoebianca.it. In 2008 PeB characters were selected to appear on t-shirts of the 2009 summer collection of Zona Brera as winners of the Zonabreralab annual contest.
